The Republic - The Kingdom of Noise (2009)

It has been 3 long years since the release of our first EP "So They Ran" and the Republic has been working behind the scenes preparing for the release of their first full length album...5 babies and a wedding later, it is finally here!

The Republic has strong influences from its home city of Seattle. Looking to grunge legends of the 90's to Indie Rock locals like David Bazan (Pedro the Lion) and Death Cab for Cutie. They are inspired as well by great acts like U2, who are not only musical mentors, but have challenged the band to fully consider the consequences of a bands choices and the value of music and entertainment in society. The bands goal is to not create more noise, but music that inspires and motivates its listeners, and they hope to accomplish this through their first full length release, Kingdom of Noise.

Дебютный альбом The Republic это мелодичный indie-rock который взял лучшее из Death Cab For Cutie и U2. Непонятен тот факт, что группа ещё не подписалась не на один лейбл, ведь для дебютного альбома они сыграны отлично.
